Tiger Family—The Fun Run (K-6) on May 8th is in St. Regis, not Alberton. The permission slip we sent home last week was incorrect. I apologize for the miscommunication. All students who attend school on that day will participate in the Fun Run. We've won this competition the last two years, and the expectation is that we will win again.

Dear Parent or Guardian, During this week, our schools will be distributing letters and certificates to students. Your school district participates in Montana GEAR UP which is a program designed to help students plan for life after high school. A requirement is that each student receive a 21st Century Scholar certificate and be informed of the available services. Here is a short list of some typical services GEAR UP may offer your student: College and Career Exploration College/University Tours High School Graduation Support Academic Counseling Mentoring Tutoring Scholarship and Financial Aid Application Assistance Parent Education and Involvement College Readiness and Enrollment Support Services Provided through the First Year in College Please encourage your student to take advantage these services. The 21st Century certificate acknowledges participation in the Montana GEAR UP program only and informs the students that they may be eligible for a one-time $1,000 GEAR UP scholarship. It is intended to provide information only; it is not a guarantee of any federal or other funding. Please talk to your Jennifer Cheesman-Pruitt pruittjennifer@stregis.k12.mt.us for more information.
