Grading Standards
Students in third grade will be evaluated on the following grading system
A (Advanced)
P (Proficient)
D (Developing)
E (Emergent)
Students will be monitored in reading, math, science, social studies, writing, study skills, and organization, and social skills. Report cards will be sent out and the end of each quarter.
Homework Requirements
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday during full weeks of school and Monday through Wednesday when school is not in session on Friday. There may be an exception on holidays and special events. Reading Logs, that requre students to read for 20 minutes and write about what they read, will always be included with the possibility of other review work that will reinforce skills that students have been learning in class.
