Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome to Kindergarten. I am very excited for this school year. Here is a little information about myself. I grew up in Post Falls, Idaho. I attended Western Governors University for my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I also attended Western Governors University for my Masters Degree in Elementary Mathematics Education. I am married with two daughters. My husband teaches Shop and Career and Technical Education here in St. Regis.

Kindergarten is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. This is a year of important transitions, as well as one in which acquisition of new skills is accelerated. Kinders develop fundamental work habits, appropriate social behavior, problem solving and decision making skills and of course academic skills. I will strive each day to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child. We will be using Open Court Reading Curriculum by McGraw-Hill and the Math Curriculum is Eureka Math Squared by Great Minds. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me. Let's have a great year!
