St. Regis School Covid-19 Update
The following is an update of events and information from the District.
District’s Covid cases quickly falling
As of Dec. 14, St Regis School District has two staff members out as close contacts and 11 students still in quarantine, down from 77 at the outbreak’s peak. Two students are positive, and the other nine are close contacts. Several will be released by the 17th, including staff, and the rest of them should be released from quarantine by the 23rd.
The School Board will be discussing ways to mitigate another outbreak at its board meeting Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. This is a virtual meeting and the link is on Board Docs. Specifically, the board will be presented with several A/B schedule options that divide the student body in half with one half attending in person on the A days, and the other half attending on the B day. Fridays will be left open for individual and small group workshops with struggling students and to record the lessons for the following week. If adopted, the schedule would begin in January. Submit comments about the scheduling to firstname.lastname@example.org.
