Dear St. Regis Parents/Guardians,

The USDA has approved Montana for a new Pandemic EBT program.  P-EBT provides nutrition benefits to families who have lost access to school meals because schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Because St. Regis School District is a CEP (all children eat breakfast and lunch free) school, ALL children ages 5-18 as of March 18th are eligible for this program.  In order to receive this benefit card, parents and/or guardians MUST fill out the PARENT/GUARDIAN consent form to release eligibility information to the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS).

The P-EBT card will be issued from the DPHHS and works as a debit card to purchase food items anywhere EBT benefits are accepted.  DPHHS will notify families of this benefit and families will be sent an EBT card by mail.

Families can get a P-EBT benefit card and still participate in the “grab and go” meal program at our school. The benefit will be $5.70/day per student, retroactive to when school initially closed (for Montana, the benefit is computed from the week schools closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year reflecting 58 days for a total of $330 per child).

The consent form can be downloaded and printed from the St. Regis School District website at, follow the link to fill out the form online  (, or the form can be picked up at the lunch room during our summer lunch program hours.  You can either bring the completed form into the District Office or you may scan and email it to Tina Hill at

This offer only applies to the families of children ages 5-18 who were enrolled at St. Regis School District as of Tuesday, March 18, 2020. Consent forms must be turned in as soon as possible to the school.

Thanks for your help in serving our kids together!
