Welcome!

I want to welcome you and your child to Kindergarten. This year is one of the most important years your child will have in his/her school career! Kindergarten is an exciting and stimulating time as students are challenged to embark upon new adventures in the world of social and academic learning.

I am beginning my sixth year of teaching. Each year brings a new excitement as I see some new faces and some familiar faces! I hope to make your child’s Kindergarten experience a fun and exciting experience; while creating in all students a love of learning, reading, writing, and math that will follow each student throughout his/her school years.

It is extremely important to keep in mind that we all build on small successes. Each student in my classroom will be progress monitored  in Reading and Math to assure he/she is acquiring the necessary skills developmentally expected of a Kindergarten student.

While embarking on this journey together please remember to celebrate all of your child’s successes no matter how small they may seem. When your child returns home from school each day he/she will be eager for you to share in these successes. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of his/her work!
