    Vacancy Announcement: School Counselor

    St. Regis Schools has openings for a School Counselor for the 2017-18 school year.  The position involves counseling of student groups and individual students regarding educational and career plans, providing counseling and guidance to students and parents in the use of test results for education/career planning, counsels individual students who are having problems in school, educates students and parents regarding the necessary course work required for graduation and assists those students who are showing signs of having educational difficulties, reviews and evaluates academic progress of students and makes recommendations for modifications as appropriate, and provides orientation to new students regarding the District’s educational opportunities and/or career paths. 

     

    The successful candidate will understand personalized learning methods, college/university entrance requirements, FASFA requirements,  and GEAR UP. Pay is dependent on the applicant’s experience. Benefits are included.

    Academic Qualifications: 

    The qualified applicant needs to have, or be in the process of completing his or her Montana Teaching Certificate.

     

    Supplemental Information: St. Regis, Montana is a terrific small town located in beautiful western Montana.  St. Regis offers a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, hiking, and many other endless recreational outdoor activities.  The district has 150 students in grades K-12. St. Regis is a fantastic, supportive community which enhances the students' educational opportunities. This rural school has approximately 10-17 students in each grade K-12. We offer diverse programs and teachers have the possible opportunity for extracurricular and/or coaching positions. Teachers get a $150 lunch stipend.

     

    Reporting Relationships:

    Teachers report to the school principal.

    St. Regis Schools has openings for a Title 1 teacher for the 2017-18 school year.  The position involves lesson planning, delivering content instruction, working with students in one-to-one, small group and whole class settings.  The successful candidate will learn personalized learning methods, have a working knowledge of Response to Intervention and Aimsweb, and work closely with other teachers to collaborate units and plan content and projects. Pay is dependent on the applicant’s experience. Benefits are included.

    Technology is used throughout the school with IPads, Smart Boards, Desktop and laptop computers.  Internet access is available to staff as well as students.
